About GOAT Squad Soccer
GOAT Squad Soccer is a free dream-team builder played on a pitch. Every position spins at
once: a striker, two wingers, an attacking midfielder, two in centre midfield, a back four, your goalkeeper and a
manager in the dugout. Then you hit STOP to freeze the board, then lock one player at a time until
the XI is full.
Then you play. The Gauntlet runs your XI through a ladder of clubs, from the worst sides MLS ever
fielded up to Guardiola's Barcelona, every fight a two-legged tie settled on aggregate with extra time
and penalties when it stays level. Beat the ladder and the World Cup winners unlock, finishing with Brazil
1970. Box scores, goalkeeping lines and a transfer kitty to spend between rounds. One loss ends the run.
A new daily squad drops every day with identical reels worldwide, so everyone is solving the same puzzle.
Frequently asked questions
Is GoatLab free to play?
Yes. Every game runs in your browser with no download and no payment. An optional account saves your builds, and optional extras exist, but the games themselves are free.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play, post scores and take on the daily challenge as a guest. Signing in with Google just saves your players to a personal Hall of Fame and carries your progress between devices.
Can I use the same player twice?
No. Players are locked to one shirt. Both centre-back slots and both centre-midfield slots draw from the same pool, so picking a defender on one side takes him off the other.
How are the matches decided?
Every tie is played over two legs and settled on aggregate. Your XIβs ratings drive a simulation that produces realistic scorelines, goals, assists and goalkeeping lines for both legs, plus extra time and penalties when the tie is level.
