82-0 and HoopsHype's 73-9 turned "spin a random team, pick a player, chase an impossible record" into the browser game of summer 2026. What 82-0 and 73-9 got right

Both games are about five decisions and one number. 82-0 rolls a team and a decade and makes you pick the player; 73-9 adds a $100 million cap and a re-spin that costs cap space, then shows you the optimal lineup when you lose. The randomness is the game: you are not building the best team, you are building the best team from these rolls. Every game below keeps that idea and changes one thing.

GoatLab GOAT Squad

GOAT Squad keeps the spin and changes what happens after. All seven roster slots (five positions, a sixth man, a coach) spin at the same time. Hit STOP when you are ready, then pick the one player you keep. Repeat until the squad is set. Sleeper 17-0

17-0 is the football version of the 82-0 idea from Sleeper, the fantasy app. Spin a slot machine of real NFL team-seasons from 1999 to 2025, draft a seven-man fantasy lineup, and chase a perfect scoring season. Databallr SixRings and SixRings Cube

Databallr runs its games on impact metrics rather than ratings. SixRings is a blind draft of five; SixRings Cube adds a $15 budget, which is the closest thing to 73-9's cap outside of 73-9. GridIron Duels makes it a duel. Each turn rolls a fresh random NFL roster, both players draft into nine slots, and the game decides the winner. It is the head-to-head version of the genre, no download.
